Popular actress Jyothika has officially announced her retirement from the film industry following her recent marriage to actor Suriya.
Popular heroine Jyothika, who got married to Suriya recently, had declared that she would quit acting.
Jyothika and Suriya addressed a joint press briefing at Chennai. Speaking on the occasion, Jyothika says, 'I am quitting films. I wanted to remain a good housewife and look after the family affairs. I am very happy that our marriage was held amidst our elders and family members and with their choicest blessings.'
