Vedika, after a good outing in Muni, plays Simbhu's lady love in the movie while Sangeetha plays a pivotal role in the film. The latest buzz is that the crew of Kaalai would hop to Russia soon to shoot a couple of song sequences.
Russia is turning out to be a favorite destination for Tamil directors. Recently cinematographer-director Jeeva had been with his Dhaam Dhoom crew to shoot a major portion of the movie in Russia and few scenes in Periyar was also shot in Russia.
Kaalai also features yesteryear heroine Seema in a prominent role.
