Karamchand is back

Pankaj Kapur returns as the iconic detective Karamchand in a stylish new avatar on Sony, directed by original creator Pankaj Parashar. The show, which achieved cult status in the 80s, promises a blend of mystery and humor.

After almost a decade, 'Karamchand' that made Pankaj Kapur a household name, would be returning on the telly.

The show is being revived in a more stylish and cool 'avtar' on Sony and would feature Pankaj Kapur in the central role once again. To be directed by its original creator Pankaj Parashar, 'Karamchand' is a detective serial with strong humor as a strong undercurrent force.

When aired between 1985-1988, 'Karamchand' had achieved a cult status with Sushmita Mukherjee's 'Kitty' act never failing to raise a chuckle.

Looking forward to yet another brilliant act by Kapur who turned up two brilliant performances in 2005 with 'Sehar' and 'Dus' but had a low 2006 with no releases. His 'Blue Umbrella' would the next film release which is expected to arrive in May.
