Simbu is set to star in the Tamil remake of the hit film Dabangg, with Katrina Kaif and Sonam Kapoor being considered for the lead female role. The film is slated for a Diwali release.
It is almost confirmed that Silambarasan aka Simbu is going to do the Tamil remake of Dabangg.
The Tamil rights were bagged by producer of Balaji Studios with heavy competition from other producers for a whopping amount. The filmmakers have decided to bring Simbu for the role of Salman Khan and the heroines in consideration are Katrina Kaif or Sonam Kapoor. The film is expected to move on sets in the month of May and the film is likely to hit the screens for Diwali. The other cast and crew of the film are yet to be finalized.
Balaji Productions sentiment of releasing films on Diwali is continuing for this film too as they released Dhanush starrer Uthamaputhiran on last Diwali.
