Sudeep's 'Kotigobba 2' has achieved a significant box office milestone, surpassing Rs 25 crore in gross collections within 18 days of its release, performing exceptionally well even against major Bollywood films.
The box office gross collections of Kotigobba 2 has cross Rs 25 crore. The film was released on August 12 and in 18 days has managed to become one of the highest grossers.
Distributor Jack Manju says the film is doing extremely well in multiplexes. "It has 106 shows a week even in the third week in multiplexes which is the highest ever for a Kannada film. I am happy, the multiplexes are happy. Hardly any Kannada films released in some multiplexes like Fun Cinemas on Cunningham Road, Innovative Multiplex and some others. We released the film in all of these and it surprised everyone that it is continuing to be screened in the third week also. Big budget films like Mohenjodaro, Rustom in Hindi and a few big English films also released but did not affect Kotigobba2," Jack Manju said.
