The VJ-turned-actress Lekha Washington, who was roped in to play Silambarasan's heroine in 'Kettavan', has been assigned to act opposite Vinay next.
She plays a prominent role in the movie titled 'Jayamkondan'. The movie is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films T G Thiagarajan and Mani Ratnam's prot©g© R Kannan directs 'Jayamkondan'.
The movie would hit the floors on 4 November in Chennai. The film has Bhavana opposite Vinay with Lekha playing the second heroine.
Meanwhile, denying rumours that 'Kettavan' has been shelved, sources close to Simbu said another producer has taken over the film and the crew would resume shooting in March 2008.
