It's known that Sai Pallavi, the Premam (Malayalam) girl, has been dropped by Mani Ratnam as the heroine of his next film after a mutual understanding. Ever since, people have been intensely debating Sai Pallavi's probable replacement. It happens every time Mani announces a film, selects or drops an actress, or even when he talks about one!
There is a speculation that Mani has finally zeroed in on his 'bangaram'. It's Aditi Rao Hydari, the damsel of Rockstar, Boss, and Wazir fame. Aditi was in Chennai two days ago to attend an event. Since she is a talented actress who began her career with a Malayalam film in 2006, only to act in a Tamil film later in 2007, Mani seems to have roped in this Mumbai-based diva.
A trained Bharatanatyam dancer, Aditi hails from the family which owns Orient Blackswan.
This film will star Karthi in the lead role. It will go on floors sometime in September.
