Actress Mumtaj clarifies she has no political aspirations, stating her passion lies in films and entertainment. She is focused on her acting career, with upcoming roles in 'Very Good,' 'Jerry,' and 'Veerasami.'
When actors and actresses queue up to take a plunge in politics, actress Mumtaj has plans otherwise. The actress says, 'Even if I am paid in crores, I have no interest to venture to politics'.
According to her, 'Films are my passion. I am here to act and entertain masses. Politics is an unknown territory, which I will never venture'.
Speaking at the muhurat of her movie Very Good in Chennai, Mumtaj, said, 'After a slump, my career is back on the right track. I play a tough cop in Very Good and the role is quite similar to Dhaya Nayak, Mumbai's popular encounter specialist. I have made all efforts to fit the role.'
Mumtaj is also acting in a few other movies including Jerry opposite Githan Ramesh in the role of an actress and as a slum girl in Vijaya T Rajendhar's Veerasami.
