Actress Navneet Kaur is set to star in the Tamil remake of the critically acclaimed Hindi film Chameli, originally featuring Kareena Kapoor.
Punjabi lass Navneet Kaur is happy at the success of her maiden Tamil venture 'Arasangam'.
Post 'Arasangam', she has won several films in Telugu and a prestigious project in Tamil. Navneet Kaur has been chosen to do the Tamil remake of critically-acclaimed Hindi venture 'Chameli'.
'Chameli' featured Kareena Kapoor in the lead role. She played a prostitute in the movie and it dwelt on an emotional theme.
Says Naveneet, ' I am happy that I was chosen for the role. I would watch the movie several times and hopefully do what Kareena achieved'.
Directed by Sudhir Mishra, 'Chameli' won several awards.
