Actress Navya Nair expresses her joy after receiving the Kalaimamani award and discusses her upcoming projects in Tamil and Kannada.
Though Mayakkannadi has done enough to establish Navya Nair as successful actress in Tamil cinema, the conferment of Kalaimamani has done her a world of good.
A thrilled Navya Nair, says, 'I thank the State government for selecting me for this great honor. I thank all my producers and directors, who had given enough opportunities in Kollywood. I got an opportunity to do varied roles so early in my career'.
Navya Nair is shooting for a Kannada movie in Bangalore. She is playing a blind woman in a Tamil movie titled Kangal Marapathillai and a Malayalam movie to be directed by Renjith.
Navya says, 'Kangal Marapathilai is an off-beat story and I am hopeful of getting a few awards after the movie'.
She also denied rumors that she is aversed to do glamour roles. 'If it is within limits and forms part of the storyline, I have no hesitation in doing glamour roles', she adds
