The experimental star Nikhil who is riding high with the success of Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada has now shifted to retro mode with his new film Kesava being helmed by Sudheer Varma of Swamy Ra Ra fame. The faction backdrop film is said to be in the lines of Ananthapuram (Subramaniapuram in Tamil).
It will be interesting to see whether Nikhil who mostly played stylish roles hitherto will fit for the rugged role or not.Apparently, mass image is ultimate target for many young heroes and their experiment to attain it provided them undesirable results most of the times. After trying mass subjects- heroes like Nithin, Ram, Nani and several others are now mostly choosing soft stories which are always safe at box office.However, Nikhil perhaps has other intensions to do the film will be seen in a mass avatar donning retro costumes.
Moreover, he would have accepted the film for Sudheer Varma who gave him first break with Swamy Ra Ra when he was going through toughest phase.It is good to see the young hero experimenting every time. But, he should be cautious in picking precise and workable subjects.Interim, Nikhil's EPC is doing remarkable business in its second week. The movie has crossed $600k mark in USA.
