Nithyashree Mahadevan, who was noticed by film music lovers after her animated rendition of 'Kannodu Kaanbathellam' from the Shankar directed Jeans, presented an evening of timeless melodies from erstwhile films amidst a packed audience.
Granddaughter of veteran singer DK Pattammal, Nithyashree Mahadevan has sung many songs in films while still balancing her Carnatic music career. She rendred songs of MS Subbulakshmi, her grandmother DK Pattammal and ML Vasanthakumari in Thiruveni Sangamam, which was also attended by her grandmother.
Her rendition of the immortal 'Kaatrinilae Varum Geetham' from Meera was well-received.
