Jr NTR and Mohanlal starrer Janatha Garage made as Telugu, Malayalam bilingual has minted Rs 1.07 crores gross on its first day. 86 lakhs is net and 46 lakhs is share from the state. This indeed is not a 'great show', even though it has Malayalam superstar Mohanlal as one of the lead actors.
Mohanlal's own distribution house Max Lab Distribution released Janatha Garage in about 120 screens all over Kerala. The film was promoted there in a way that, Mohanlal is main lead in it. However, this factor hasn't worked for the movie to rake 'extra' collections.
Stylish Star Allu Arjun's last movie Yodhavu (Sarianodu) grossed Rs 74 lakhs on day one, even though it was a dubbed version and released after 2 months after the original version hit the screens. Compared to this figure, Janatha Garage first day performance at box office was not up to the mark.
Janatha Garage is weak in other neighboring state Tamil Nadu too. The movie collected 26 lakhs share from there.
