The crew of the upcoming film 'Nagarahaavu' participated in a city marathon to honor the late actor Vishnuvardhan, who was a sports enthusiast. The film itself will feature a 15-minute digital avatar of the superstar.

Over 100 crew members of the upcoming film Nagarahaavu, took part in the recently concluded marathon, which was held in the city. The participation was a gesture to honour the late actor Vishnuvardhan. In fact, their upcoming film Nagarahaavu is intended to pay tribute to the actor.

"We are really happy to be a part of the marathon. It is a tribute to the great Kannada superstar Vishnu sir. We did not get a chance to work with him. We only have his lessons and his footprints to follow," Yogesh, the co-director of the film has told Times of India. Vishnuvardhan was a sport enthusiast himself. "Everyone knows Vishnu sir's fondness for sports. He created Snehaloka to promote cricket.

Now it is one of the most important sports and cultural team in the city that conducts cricket tournament and other cultural programmes . This is the reason we wanted to pay tribute through the marathon," he has said. The makers of Nagarahaavu have recreated the Simhadriya Simha star digitally in the upcoming movie. "It will be like the superstar performing on screen for 15 minutes in the 40 minutes climax filled with graphics of Nagarahaavu," a source has revealed.
