Actress Ramya (Divya Spandana) defended her recent comments about Pakistan's hospitality, stating she respectfully disagrees with the notion of Pakistan being 'hell.' Sedition charges were filed against her for her remarks.
"I respectfully disagree, but Pakistan is not hell," emphasised actress and Congress member Ramya (aka Divya Spandana) to a leading news channel today. She was dragged into the controversy after a Karnataka-based lawyer filed sedition charges against her for her speech on Pakistan's hospitality at the SAARC Youth Summit in the neighbouring country.
"I don't have any ego at all and in any given incident, I would have apologised, but if I do in this case, the larger cause we're fighting for would go," she was quoted saying when asked about the charges filed against her.
