Producer Rajsekarpandian talks about his shooting career

Rajsekarpandian, director and co-producer of 2D Entertainment has won 2 Gold medals and 2 Silver medals in Tamil Nadu State level shooting championship which was held in The Royal Pudukkottai Sport Club near Trichy. He won 4 medals under 3 categories namely Skeet, trap and double trap.

When we got in touch with Rajsekarpandian, he was glad to share some information about his recent success story.

“I participated on behalf of The Royal Pudukkottai sports club and we won the overall rolling trophy (His Highness Maharajah of Pudukkottai Rolling Trophy). My student Miss. Bhuvana Shri is the youngest participant. She is 13 years old and she won 8 medals in the event. We had around 200 participants from 9 district clubs for 3 events viz. Skeet, Trap and Double Trap. This is the qualifying competition for the National shooting championships. The event was organized by Prithviraj Thondaiman, Secretary of Royal Pudukkottai sports club, an international Trap shooter himself.”

Can we expect you in the National scene very soon? How is it to manage production work and also follow your passion simultaneously?

“Hopefully yes, I am a trained shooter but took a 2-year sabbatical due to other commitments but was determined to participate in this year’s event. I am fine with shuffling between both production and my shooting career at the same time but I feel I could give a little more time to shooting. We still need to improve the facilities in Chennai. We had a hit after the floods, some of our equipments were damaged and some of them are quite old. That is one more reason why this event was held at Royal Pudukkottai sports club.”

Congrats to Rajsekarpandian and we wish him more such laurels!
