Promotion no use

"The result of promotional activities done for the film is zero" - according Chairman and Managing director of Pyramid Saimira group Mr Swaminathan.

He was speaking to media persons on last Friday at the muhurut of second Kannada film venture of the Company 'Putta'. He was referring to the question raised by a journalist on the lack of promotional activities from the company when it distributed the first Kannada film 'Naanu Neenu Jodi' (Produced by Anjaneyulu Pratipati starring Vijaya Raghavendra and Namitha directed by N.R.Nanjunde Gowda and music scored by Hamsalekha) that was released a few weeks back.

Despite of good reviews the film could not sustain in the box office.

Mr Swaminathan is also of the opinion that risk of the film today is carried by the hero and creativity is taking a beating today. The companies coming forward to produce films cannot afford to lose. For me Company is the hero first as there is no sharing of risk he felt.

The corporate company coming today is making drastic changes and setting up new orders in the whole system of film making Swaminathan observes.
