'Pugaipadam' introduces a new director

Rajesh is the new director to try his skills in making films in Kollywood.

With the experience of assisting the ace director and brother of actor Dhanush, Selvaraghavan, the new film maker is now ready to venture of his own with a film titled 'Pugaipadam' which is based on a true incident that occurred during Rajesh's college years.

C.Manikandan who is a college buddy of Rajesh will be producing the new film.

The recent influx and success of young new directors in the film industry is surely encouraging more and more assistant directors to venture out of their own.

The good response got by the former assistants of Selvaraghavan like Manikanda who directed 'Ninaithu Ninaithu Parthen' and Jawahar who made 'Yaardi Nee Mohini' might have prompted Rajesh to finally call the shots of his own.

Rajesh is also giving chances to four men and three girls to be the leading characters in his debut movie.

Amjad of Radio One will be one of the heroes of the film while Priya Anand who is an NRI from Canada will be introduced as one among the Heroines.

Another highlight of the film will be the presence of the famous speaker and Professor Gnanasambandham in a significant role in 'Pugaipadam'.

Noted music composer Gangai Amaran makes a comeback through this film and he has also contributed in creating the lyrics along with Na. Muthu Kumar and the director Rajesh.

Good luck for your debut independent venture, Rajesh.
