Raghavendra Rao's Om Namo Venkatesaya on Roll

Director K Raghavendra Rao is presently making a devotional film titled Om Namo Venkatesaya with Nagarjuna portraying the role of godman Hathi Ram Baba, an ardent devotee of Lord Venkateswara. Presently, shooting is progressing in a specially erected Tirumala set in Annapurna Studios.

Raghavendra Rao is very strict about few things on the sets. He is not allowing anyone to wear footwear, using mobiles during shooting. The entire production unit members should call the co-artist or technician as Govinda. Furthermore, they need to sport three vertical lines (thilak) and wear white kurtha.

Starting from Nagarjuna to light boy, everyone is following these rules with devotion and dedication. They are leaving footwear and cell phones outside the set, before start of shoot every day. They even are avoiding non vegetarian food.

Pragya Jaiswal, who won critical applause and awards for her performance in Kanche, is playing the female lead in the movie that will also have Vimala Raman, Pavani Gangireddy, Saurabh Raaj Jain in important roles and Anushka Shetty in a cameo.

Om Namo Venkatesaya is fourth devotional journey for Nag and KRR, after Annamayya, Sri Ramadasu and Shiridi Sai. MM Keeravani is composer for all these films and A Mahesh Reddy who produced Shiridi Sai is producing this movie too.
