Rajesh Roshan on top with Krrish

Rajesh Roshan has done it again. The reclusive music-director-par-excellence has composed some divine lilting melodies for his brother Rakesh Roshan's forthcoming superman-saga Krrish starring nephew Hrithik Roshan. What is more creditable to note is the fact that he has remixed two of the originals with smashing results.

The remix of Koi Tumsa Nahin is peculiarly called Big Band Mix and Main Hoon Woh Aasmaan is strangely labeled as Mystic Love Mix. Leave aside the unusual names given to the remixed tracks, the music arrangements, choice of singers, lyrics by Nasir Faraz, uptempo-n-happenin fast beats makes both the numbers a treat for the ears. What is notable out here is that the melody remains intact and it is ten times refreshingly different from the remixes unleashed by the likes of DJ Suketu and DJ Akbar Sami.

It is also a lesson for the music companies who insist on the DJs remixing the originals of composers like Himesh Reshamiya, Anu Malik and Pritam. At a few occasions the DJs end up taking the applause that should be merited to the music director. Maybe this trend might sour relations within the music industry.

As for Rajesh Roshan, then the composer of such gems as Bhoot Bangla, Julie, Yaraana, Jurm, Kishan Kanhaiya, Karan Arjun, Koyla, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and Koi Mil Gaya should be doing more work in Bollywood as his fans value his melodic sense tremendously.
