Rumours have been floating in Kollywood stating that superstar Rajinikanth and Hong Kong’s Hollywood superstar Jackie Chan might star in a short-term film if everything went right.
Rajini’s Kabali, which has generated unprecedented hype, hope and expectation among audiences in general and Rajini’s millions of fans in particular, might release in theatres worldwide on 15th July. Trade pundits have already predicted that the film would end up as a super-duper hit. Rajini had already started work on his next film 2.0 (directed by Shankar) whose 50% of the shoot is said to have been completed.
Rajini locks horns with Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar who willingly plays the antagonist in 2.0. Shankar recently watched the portion shot so far and is said to have told his crew members that they would have to work hard for six more months to complete the film’s shoot. The next schedule of the shoot is to commence in August.
In the meantime, Rajini’s impatient fans are jumping with joy at the rumours floating in Kollywood which say that a Malay producer is seriously thinking of making a new film with Rajini and Jackie Chan in the lead. Chan is said to have evinced interest in the project while Rajini hasn’t reacted to this ‘dream film’ which brings two of top superstars in Asia together!
