Ram Gopal Varma completes a film in four and half days

After giving duds at the Hindi box-office, RGV shifted his base to Hyderabad off late. The director’s last venture Rakht Charithra, which released in two parts failed at the bollywood box-office miserably. Even though it got acclaimed critically, the film hardly witnessed any Cinegoers in Bollywood.

At the same time, the Rakht Charithra series in a Telugu was an un-expected hit. So keeping the success that he got from his once own industry in mind, Varma is on a mission to sign new projects and finish off them. The director already has two telugu projects in the pipeline. Varma had currently shot a film with Telugu Superstar Raviteja that got completed in four and half days for a planned amount of five days.

The film is titled as Dongala Mutha [robber’s gang]. The shooting began on 9th February and got wrapped up on 13th February. The film was completely shot in normal shifts under the natural-light with just four canon cameras and with out additional equipment. Add to it the actors already started dubbing for it. One of the actors of the film, Lakshmi Manchu tweeted “dubbing for Dongala Mutha already, RGV is revolutionizing the concept of film making, Kudos to him.”

On the other hand Ramu tweeted “I finished the complete shoot of Dongala mutha in 4 and half days flat”. The film depending upon on how fast post-production gets completed might tentatively release on March 4th. Another important piece of information regarding Dongala Mutha is that everybody who participated in the film will be getting their dues only after the film gets released as the entire unit of the film agreed not to take remuneration prior to its release; they agreed to share profits of the film.

Certainly you are showing new way to make movies very fast Ramu. But it all depends upon how the movie fairs at the box-office.
