Actor Ranjith is set to produce and star in the Tamil remake of the Telugu hit Bhadrachalam, titled Marudachalam.
After Beeshmar, actor-producer Ranjith ventured to do a couple of Malayalam films and character roles in Tamil films.
Ranjith is now again tempted to try his hand at playing the lead role. This time he has taken a safe route. Ranjith in the company of his wife Priya Raman would produce a film featuring him in the lead role.
Buzz is that the movie is a remake of a blockbuster Telugu movie titled Bhadrachalam, which featured Sri Hari as hero.
The Tamil version has been tentatively titled Marudachalam and search for a suitable heroine is on.
Ranjith is confident of hitting the bull's eye this time. 'With a proven script I am jumping into the ring. I am hopeful of pulling it off', he says.
Bhadrachalam was an all-out masala potboiler. A safe bet you can say. And that is what Ranjith also seems to feel.
