Kamalini Mukherjee, who shot to fame with Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, is a busy actress now with handful of offers in Telugu and Kannada.
Happy sharing the screen with a veteran like Kamal Haasan, Kamalini also wants to act with new heroes too, if the storyline and her role are good.
'I should be a good actress first. No matter whoever the hero is, all that I want is a due weightage to my character in the film. I came to the industry without any background and I want to establish myself as a talented actress', says Kamalini.
Kamalini says, 'Gone are the days when women were not given much importance in movies. Though the industry is driven by men even now, women, including heroines, junior artistes and other technicians are getting the importance they deserve'.
