'Remo' title changed?

Rumors about Sivakarthikeyan's film 'Remo' changing its title for tax exemption have been denied by the makers, confirming the original title will remain.

Since yesterday there have been rumors doing rounds that actor Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming romantic entertainer 'Remo' has undergone for a title change due to Tax exemption concerns. It is said that the title has been changed as 'Renganathan Engira Mohana' to make it a Tamil title which is one of the basic criteria for a film to be eligible for Entertainment tax exemption given by the Tamil Nadu State Government.

However the makers of 'Remo' have denied this as a baseless rumor. The title of the film will remain as 'Remo' forever and it will not be changed. 'Remo' the proper name of a character. It is neither a short form of any other name nor a combination of two names.

Directed by debutant Bhagyaraj Kannan and produced by RD Raja under 24AM Studios banner. ;Remo' is all set to hit the screens on October 7 on account of Aayutha Pooja holiday. The film stars Sivakarthikeyan and Keerthy Suresh in lead roles.
