Salim Khan’s scathing response to haters

The controversy surrounding Salman Khan's selection as the Goodwill ambassador from the Indian contingent for the Rio Olympics 2016 refuses to die down. Salman's father, Salim Khan, had earlier taken his son's side and lashed out against veteran sportsman, Milkha Singh, who had objected to Salman's selection. One of his many tweets read, "The same industry which resurrected you from fading away in oblivion." His tweets waged a war and soon a debate ensued over what he had written and an apology was being demanded. After drawing flak for his tweets, Salim again took to Twitter to lash out against his haters.

In a series of tweets, Salim Khan has defended his stand. He wrote, "WINDING UP. Salman has been in controversy for the last 25 years regularly. Not a single time i supported him. I was known as a fair person. Now first time i support him on my belief that what he is doing is right. Instead and alcohol or tobacco he is promoting sports."
Lastly, he mocked all those who have been demanding an apology saying, "And i am called unfair, arrogant and asked to apologise. "Oh lord forgive them for they know not what they do" - Jesus." Well, seems like an apology is the last thing on Salim Khan's mind for now.
