Seeman, Ameer arrested

Amidst high drama, the 'Q' Branch police arrested directors Ameer and Seeman for their inflammatory speech made at the mega rally organized by Tamil film fraternity.

When reports spread that cases of sedition have been filed against them and that they would be arrested soon, a host of directors including Bharathirajaa, R K Selvamani, Cheran, Vikraman, Ezhil, Ram, Balaji Sakthivel, lyricist Na Muthukumar rushed to Seeman's office.

When police reached the place to arrest them, they staged a protest. They shouted slogans against the police. Commandoes rushed to the place and made necessary arrangements to arrest them.

Speaking on the occasion, Bharathirajaa, said, 'both Ameer and Seeman have done nothing wrong. They should be released immediately.'

They were produced at Rameswaram Court. The assistant directors are planning to hold a mega rally in Chennai on Saturday condemning the arrest.
