Shankar Mahadevan Turns Politically Correct

Talented singer Shankar Mahadevan has recorded a song for Raj Thackeray at the Swaranjali Studio in Andheri especially for his election campaign in the forthcoming Municipality Elections in Mumbai. In collaboration with Shaan and Kunal Ganjawala, the song outlines the election tunes and calls for change in guard for the city of Mumbai. The music has been set by well known Marathi composer duo Atul-ajay with lyrics by Wagshish Saraswat.

This is yet another special note for Shankar Mahadevan who forms 1/3rd of the hugely popular trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy and has had a rocking 2006 filled with blockbusters like 'Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna' and 'Don', proving to be spectacular hits.

The trio has a couple of big banner films for release this year as well, starting with 'Salaam-e-Ishq' whose musical score is already on top of the charts, and others being 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom', Sajid Khan's 'Hey Baby' amidst others.
