Speculations about Dileep and Kavya Madhavan getting married have been rife for a long time now. Mollywood’s beloved on-screen couple has denied the rumours multiple times as well. However, according to an interview given to Vanitha, Dileep has hinted otherwise. Dileep was quoted saying in the interview, “My life has been an open book and whenever a new thing happens, it will be communicated to all. Time will tell everything.”
Dileep also clarified that Kavya is not the reason behind his separation from former wife Manju Warrier.
Dileep married actress Manju Warrier in the year 1998. The couple also has a daughter. They separated in 2014. Dileep has so far starred in over 130 Malayalam films. Kavya has also done close to 75 Malayalam films and has won the Kerala state award twice. Kavya separated from her husband Nishal Chandra in the year 2011.
In a former interview with indianexpress.com earlier, Kavya said, “Dileep is not just a great co-star but also my closest friend. When we work with people who we are close to, acting becomes comfortable. Without realising, a chemistry works out. And it is not something that is limited to only Dileep. If we are working with co-stars who are playing your mother or enacting some other role, there is a spontaneous give and take equation that develops.
It happens on its own and only with a few. The comfort level ultimately reflects onscreen and the audience likes it. In the case of Dileep, after having worked together in so many films, the chemistry and comfort level are something that gradually developed. Also, we have to be grateful to the script writers who wrote such great roles for us be it Meesa Madhavan or Thenkasipattanam. These were characters that many could relate to.”
