Shruti Haasan is set to make her acting debut in a Tamil film directed by Nisikant, co-starring Madhavan.
The light-eyed daughter of Kamal Haasan will be finally making her film debut with Tamil heartthrob Madhavan. Shruti had always said that she was keen on acting like her parents, Kamal and Sarika.
It is also a well-known fact that Shruti is a trained musician from New York in Western classical music. She had even given playback for a song in her dad's film Dasavataram.
Now, it has been announced that she will be acting in a Tamil film to be directed by Marathi director Nisikant who had directed Evaro Oruvan, the Tamil remake of the award-winning Dombivili Fast. The film is being made by Gnanam Films.
The shooting is expected to begin in January, 2008. Shruti will also be releasing her solo album before the film's release.
