Actress Sri Divya, known for her work in Telugu cinema, is set to have two Tamil dubbed films, 'Pencil' and 'Rayudu,' release back-to-back in the coming weeks, marking her return to Telugu screens.
Sri Divya of Mallela Teeramlo Sirimalle Puvvu, Bus Stop, and Kerintha fame in Telugu, is going to have two back-to-back releases in the coming weeks. Both are, interestingly, dubbed from Tamil. They are GV Prakash Kumar-starrer Pencil (May 13 release) and Vishal-starrer Rayudu, which will hit the screens on May 20.
The actress, who was a child artist in films like Hanuman Junction and Yuvaraju, has been going strong in Kollywood, getting critical reception for her acting prowess. The Hyderabad-bred girl is now in demand in Tamil, especially after Bhaskar-directed Bangalore Naatkal, in which she played Rana Daggubati's wife.
Known for her realistic performance, she tests her luck yet again in Telugu. Pencil is directed by Mani Nagaraj, a Gautham Menon protégé. Shariq Hassan, VTV Ganesh, Urvashi and others are part of the cast. Cinematography is by Gopi Amarnath. Editing is by Anthony.
In Rayudu (Marudhu in Tamil), a powerful mass entertainer directed by G Hari, Sri Divya plays the female lead, sharing screen space with a big star like Vishal.
