SS Rajamouli started his career in the department of direction by working as an associate with K Raghavendra Rao. He excelled in doing short films and advertisements and earned a good name as a very good technician.
Later, he turned a director through 'Student No. 1' produced by C Aswinidutt on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies with NTR as hero, under the directorial supervision of his mentor Raghavendra Rao.
He took some gap and again directed NTR for 'Simhadri' produced by V Doraswamy Raju. That film remained a blockbuster in the career of NTR. His next films 'Sye' with Nithin as hero, 'Chatrapati' with Prabhas in the lead, 'Vikramarkudu' with Raviteja as hero, were also proved big hits and achieved cent per cent success.
Now he turned a producer and is doing a film 'Yamadonga' again with his first hero NTR. 'Yamadonga' had recently completed 50 per cent of the shooting and is in progress.
Rajamouli is planning to release the film on July 9, the day on which the biggest hit in the careers of Rajamouli and NTR, like 'Simadri' was released.
This means, Rajamouli is strongly believing in the success date sentiment.
