Sudden Craze For Gopichand's Biopic After Sindhu's Silver

He has always been the pride of the entire nation for all the endless efforts, humongous hardwork and gallons of patience that he has put in all these years. But he is undoubtedly the man of the moment now and he is none other than the former Indian badminton champion and current national coach Pullela Gopichand, who inspired numerous sportspersons and contributed stars like Saina Nehwal, Srikant Kidambi, Parupalli Kashyap and finally the 21-year-old PV Sindhu.

Known for his determination, Gopichand has been admired as a brand name for the game of badminton for several years. His achievements in the sport after hailing from a modest background are nothing but inspirational and he was duly honoured by the Indian government with all the sporting awards the country.

And now, the silver medal for Sindhu is causing quite a flutter in the cinema world. Yes, the Gopichand biopic which has been under pre-production from the last few months is now the subject of discussion in the tinsel town. While actor Sudheer Babu, also a badminton player, is reportedly playing Gopi’s onscreen role, Praveen Sattaru of Chandamama Kathalu will helm it as a Telugu-Hindi biopic. According to our sources, the film will get started in early November.

Gopichand’s personal life, his struggling professional career and the successful journey to Olympics would make this film an interesting journey to look forward to.
