DMDK chief Vijayakanth joined fellow actors Rajinikanth, Sarath Kumar, Nayantara, and Sneha at a protest. Speakers like Cheran and Vadivelu urged for a lasting solution to the Tamil issue.
Noted actor and DMDK chief Vijayakanth thronged the venue at around noon amidst thundering applause. He was greeted by Sarath Kumar.
Mediamen rushed to catch a glimpse of Vijayakanth exchanging pleasantries with Rajinikanth. Rajinikanth, Vijayakanth, Sarath Kumar, Nayantara and Sneha posed for the lensmen.
Expressing his anguish at the attack on Tamils, Cheran said, ' it should not be a mere protest. It should kick start a thought process in the hearts of the millions of Tamils and Kannadigas'.
It is no function for actors to assemble and continue their work from the next day. They should strive to leave a mark in the issue'.
Vadivelu in an emotional tone, appealed everyone to arrive at an early solution to the whole issue.
Kushboo, Ramya Krishnan, P Vasu, Prabhu, Sundar C, Mansoorali Khan, Ramesh Khanna among others stressed the need for solving the issue without anymore troubles and hatred among people.
