The up-and-coming ‘Nirmala Convent’ marks the debut of Akkineni Nagarjuna as a singer. Celebrating this, Naga Chaitanya and Akhil have released a stamp that has Nag crooning his way to glory.
King Nagarjuna has been quoted as saying that this is “the biggest surprise in my life”. “I thank my fans and the industry for acknowledging me as a singer and giving this moment to treasure forever”, the actor has said.
The stamp features a bearded Nag with a cap. He is playful yet earnest in the still, lifted directly from a promotional video of ‘Kotha Kotha Basha’ number. As it’s a love anthem, the world-famous Taj Mahal completes the stamp.
The Akkineni songs will release the postal stamp on the eve of their dad's birthday on August 29 at 12:00 p.m. "This stamp articulates the Telugu film industry’s musical skills through the voice of a versatile artist like Akkineni Nagarjuna, who has an admiration for fine lyrics and music”, Chaitanya and Akhil have said.
“This stamp is sure to appeal to everyone, both (Nagarjuna and Taj Mahal) are ageless symbols of love. King Nag’s birthday and festive season are just around the corner, and it’s the perfect time to get started in stamp collection”, the President of Nagarjuna Akkineni Fans Association said.
