It is a case of two slaps and two different results. Last year we witnessed a case in which director Samy was slapped with a one-year ban by The Producers' Council for slapping Padmapriya during the shooting of his 'Mirugam'.
Now we hear about another such incident involving director K. Chandranath and actress Likitha. The director recalled the incident while talking during the audio launch function of his movie 'Kankalum Kavipaduthey'. He said that he had slapped Likitha to extract better performance from her during the shooting of the film.
Surprisingly (fortunately?), the actress took it positively and forget it immediately. She was as smiling and friendly as ever after the shooting, said the director.
Producers' Council president Rama Narayanan, who gave the verdict against Samy, was present in the function but he did not utter any word on the incident.
Reason? According to the rules, no action will be taken without a complaint from the aggrieved person.
