Geetanjali was one of the Telugu sleeper hits of 2014, and it starred Anjali in the titular role. The horror-comedy, which appealed to both masses and the classes, is now being remade in Tamil. The remake was initially planned to be made with Anjali, who is quite popular in Tamil too. However, we've learnt that the opportunity has been passed on to Trisha.
The makers are said to have recently approached Trisha, who is on a spree of signing horror films. Having recently starred in Aranmanai 2 and upcoming Nayaki, she has also signed another horror flick with director Madhesh, and it will be predominantly shot abroad. It looks like she might also sign the Tamil remake of Geetanjali.
