Filmmaker Shashilal Nair is already shooting his version of 'Lolita' starring Jackie Shroff and newcomer Pallavi, following Ram Gopal Varma's announcement of a similar project with Amitabh Bachchan.
Just after Ram Gopal Varma's announcement on making a film based on Lolita story of a young girl falling in love with an old-aged guy another film maker Shashilal Nair told him that he had already started shooting for 'Lolita'.
His movie stars Jackie Shroff and newcomer Pallavi. The story is of a 45-year-old man falling in love with a 15-year-old girl. It is an intense love story and shows the plight of a man trapped in hopeless romance.
Nair had auditioned at least 40-50 girls for the lead role. Shashilal Nair's budget for the film is Rs 2 crore while Ram Gopal Varma's budget is Rs 20 crore. Amitabh Bachchan starts in Ramu's version of Lolita i.e. Nishabd.
