Pasupathy and Jyothirmai star in 'Vedigundu Murugesan' and the film is directed by Moorthi.
According to Moorthi, a vital sequence in the film would revolve around the Amman Festival that takes place every year. Normally, the festival is celebrated with loads of fanfare around the April-May period. Since the unit cannot wait for the festival to get underway due to time constraint, the filmmakers have decided to go ahead and create the festival.
At a cost of 25 lakhs, the Amman festival will be recreated in Ramalingapuram near Rajapalayam and the usual devotees are also expected to take part in it. A song titled "Aathaa varaadaa, Maariyaathaa varaadaa..." will be picturized there.
Pasupathy has made a name for himself as a good actor and with the release of 'Kuselan', he is expected to be taken to a hitherto unimaginable level of stardom. Though superstar 'Rajinikanth' is the main sensation of the film, the movie's story revolves around Pasupathy.
Pasupathy's success with 'Kuselan's will no doubt spill over 'Vedigundu Murugesan' for the better.
