Venky Joining The Biggest Race?

It had happened way back in 2001. The then top stars Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna and Venkatesh had clashed at box office for Sankranthi with their respective films- Mrugaraju, Narasimha Naidu and Devi Putrudu. While Narasimha Naidu ended as industry hit, the other two movies turned as disasters. Apparently, the biggest race will re-emerge for Sankranthi 2017.Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna are already in Sankranthi race with their milestone ventures Khaidi No 150 and Gautamiputra Satakarni. Now, if a speculation is to be believed, Venkatesh is also joining the biggest race with his upcoming film Guru which is expected to release on January 14th. In fact, Guru will be least expected film out of these three as it is just another film and not a landmark one for Venky like for his friends. However, Venkatesh's first look in the film released for Diwali has garnered attention. While Gautamiputra is a straight film based on the history of 2nd century CE, Satavahana ruler Gautamiputra Satakarni, Khaidi No 150 and Guru are remakes of Tamil films Kaththi and Irudhi Suttru. Apart from these films, Sharwanand's family entertainer film Shatamanam Bhavati is also hitting the screens for the festival. So, it will be a real festival for fans of yesteryear top stars coming up with their respective films for the Sankranthi.
