Vijay's upcoming film "Velayudham," a remake of "Azad," is currently filming in Coimbatore. The movie features Hansika Motwani and Saranya Mohan, with Genelia set to join the cast soon in a new role as an investigative journalist.
Velayudham the remake of Telugu film Azad is wrapping up on a brisk pace
The film is now shooting in Karamadai a panchayat town in Coimbatore. Hero Vijay, Hansika Motwani and Saranya Mohan are seen in the shooting spot. Director Jayam Raja is canning important scenes in this village on the lead cast. Bubbly beauty Genelia will be joining Velayudham camp very soon. So far we have seen Genelia in bubbly and lively roles but in this film she plays the role of an investigative journalist. The team will be moving to abroad to shoot two songs and director Jayam Raja is making the film on the set schedule, so as to release the film on Vijay’s birthday.
Saranya Mohan is playing the role of Vijay’s sister and recently she celebrated her birthday on the sets of Velayudham along with the unit members.
