Following the success of Veyyil, director Vasantha Balan is working on a new project featuring fresh faces, moving away from his previous production plans.
After a roaring success in Veyyil, Vasantha Balan has maintaining a low profile. A one-time associate of director Shankar, Vasantha Balan's Veyyil, produced by Shankar himself, won rave reviews and was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
The director is now planning a movie for London Karunas, and not by Oscar Films, as reported earlier.
According to sources, new faces will act in the Vasantha Balan's film, which will portray human emotions quite similar to Veyyil. However, the storyline and the treatment will be different, sources close to the director say.
It may recall that Vasantha Balan, a onetime assistant of director Shankar made his foray into Kollywood with Album. With the debut movie not performing well in the box office, his mentor Shankar gave him an opportunity to direct Veyyil, in which Vasantha Balan proved himself.
