Sun Pictures has reportedly withdrawn from distributing Bala's much-anticipated film 'Avan Ivan' following a change in state-level leadership. AGS Entertainment, the film's producers, are now handling its marketing and distribution.
The change of guard at the state level has changed the fate of many films and latest to join in the list is Bala’s Avan Ivan. It can be noted here that the theatrical rights of Avan Ivan has been reportedly purchased Sun Pictures one of the biggest market leaders in Kollywood.
But the latest ads in newspapers reveal that it’s the producer’s of the film AGS Entertainments are marketing the film. The promos describe that the film is going to release in June and by Kalpathi S. Agoram's AGS Entertainments.
Bala's Avan Ivan which features Vishal, Arya, Madhu Shalini and Janani Iyer in lead roles has turned as the most talked about film of the year. Recently the team has arranged a special screening of the film only for the casts and crew at Four Frames in Chennai.
As per trade buffs Avan Ivan is being promoted by AGS Entertainment directly and the release of the film is likely to take place on June 10/17.
Even, Maaveeran which was initially taken up by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies has been dropped by them due to the new regime in the state.
