Sarath Kumar is set to revive the long-shelved film 'Kaki', a project for which he previously tonsured his head. The movie, directed by Vincent Selva, will resume production after being stalled for some time.
Sarath Kumar has decided to help redeem a film, which was shelved long back. GJ Cinema, which produced 'April Maathathil', 'Julie Ganapathi', 'Varnajaalam' and 'Chellamey', started a project titled 'Kaki' featuring Sarath Kumar. Vincent Selva was roped in as the director of the film.
Sarath showed lot of commitment and involvement in the film. So much so that he tonsured his head, as the script required it. But the movie was shelved for some reason and Sarath started concentrating on other films.
Now the producers have decided to give a new lease of life for the film and Sarath has agreed to cooperate. The team is gearing up to finish the movie and release it after the release of '1977'. It is yet to be known whether Sarath will have to tonsure his head again.
Meanwhile, Sundar C too is planning to tonsure his head for the film 'Thee'.
