At a time when even straight Telugu movies struggle to complete a hundred days in theatres, a Telugu dubbed Tamil movie ran for 100 days in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions. Bichagadu, the Telugu remake of Pichaikaaran was a blockbuster. Even by Return Of Investment (ROI) analysis, Bichagadu is said to have performed better than any other recent films. It is one of the most profitable dubbed Tamil films ever. At Saithan audio launch today, 3rd November, producer Prasad opened up saying Pichaikaaran’s Telugu rights were sold for 45 lakhs but made a business of 30+ crores. Wow! That’s a huge margin indeed!
