Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane have consolidated well for India in the warm-up game against Sri Lanka Board President's XI at Colombo. The duo has taken India past 225. Rahane is closing in on his fifty.
Earlier, skipper Virat Kohli fell cheaply and Shikhar Dhawan too departed when India lost four quick wickets post Lunch. Kohli was dismissed for eight runs, Dhawan for 63. KL Rahul was unlucky to miss out on a half-century, falling for 43. Rohit Sharma followed for just seven. Since the 108-run opening stand between Dhawan and Rahul, India have struggled to stitch a decent partnership.
The team led by Kohli will play three Tests against Sri Lanka, starting August 12.
