Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao came up with the proposal of constructing of a new Secretariat with state-of-the-art infrastructure and vastu in the existing Secretariat premises.
The new Telangana Secretariat will have either 7 or 9 Blocks as per the 'Odd Number' recommendation from KCR. Interestingly, Chief Minister's Office will be the tallest among all the structures coming up in the premises. The Structures will be 10-15 storied buildings and 3-4 floors will be allotted only for parking space of vehicles. Nearly 10 skyscrapers were expected to come up in the new Secretariat.
Roads & Buildings (R&B) Department has been preparing the proposals for the construction of Secretariat with all the facilities. Construction work might start either by Dussehra or 2016 end.
