Given the power of the influence of cinema, it is quite natural that from being just a lover of cinema, a person with enough confidence in his creativity can get attracted towards the craft of film making and try to do bring out the visuals floating in his inner self by doing a short film, a music video or a documentary.
The same call of creativity can be experienced by persons who feels as if there is an actor hiding inside them and which is trying to get out desperately an also for persons who like to try out their hands in the technical side of film making like editing .
Realizing that there can be a big number of such people who are in different professions and diverse fields, Nizal and the Tamilnadu Documentary and Short Film Creators Association have decided to go for a film making workshop in Chennai for the people who aspire to learn the craft of film making, acting, editing, animation and other technical fields relating to film making.
The veteran Director and Cinematographer Balu Mahendra will inaugurate the workshop which will be conducted between May 25 and May 31.
Some prominent directors, technicians and actors of Kollywood will head the various classes during the workshop.
The participants will also be given the required guidance and assistance to make a short film during the last day of the creative workshop.
For the government employees, doctors, software professionals, lawyers, Bank workers among other professionals who might have once thought of being a film maker and later on drifted to their respective professions due to a reason or the other and don't have the time to spare now, this is a great opportunity to blow off the dust of their long held celluloid dreams.
