Merku Thodarchi Malai, the film produced by Vijay Sethupathi has now got a international honour, as it has been selected to be screened at the International film festival of Kerala, under the 'Indian Cinema Now' category. The film is all about the people in the TN-Kerala border along the western Ghats. The lead characters of the movie will be working as daily wage labourers in the estates in the region. Ilayaraja has composed the music for this movie.
