Arun Vaidhyanathan’s directorial is titled as Nibunan and the first look poster has also been unveiled. After a long time in Tamil we would get to see a multi-starrer in the form of Arjun, Suhasini, Prasanna, Suman, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Vaibhav, Sruthi Hariharan and others.
Arun in an exclusive chat with behindwoods tells, “Nibunan means an expert and this team in itself is an expert team (in the film). Anything which comes in their way, they will solve it intelligently. It is an action oriented crime investigation thriller. It will be something new. Films in this style have come but not in this direction and we have done this using the new technology.
I have an excellent technical team too. Irudhi Suttru Satish Surya is editing, Arvind Krishna is the DoP, Navin is the music director and Aarusaamy of Kappal fame is the art director. For the entire team, this will be something new. For Arjun sir also, this will be very different from what he has done earlier.
We were all in talks whether to title the film as Nibunan or to go by Arjun sir’s screen name. But Madhan Karky told me if I was not using Nibunan, he was taking it. The team also was in favor of Nibunan and so we finalized on it.
The shoot is complete and we are in the post production phase now. This is a new experience for me to direct a bilingual. Two to three days of patch work is there. Varalaxmi has completed her dubbing and Prasanna is right now dubbing. Things are in the rapid phase. We want to launch the audio and trailer in mid-August and release the film before September.
